Every pregnant woman deserves to feel safe. Sadly, for many in our community, that’s not the case. The challenges of homelessness, joblessness, or an unsafe home life are big enough, and pregnancy can make them that much more daunting.

When men walk onto the No Longer Bound campus, they’re walking away from the life they’ve known—a life of addiction—and committing to live for one year with a group of strangers. You can imagine the range of emotions that brings: fear, hesitation, hope.

Our Daughters International: Border Stations
Each year, more than 30,000 young Nepali girls are tricked, forced, or sold into human trafficking in India, the Middle East, and beyond. Eighty percent of them will be sexually exploited. Each one of them experiences unimaginable personal pain and suffering.

Amana Academy: Social-Emotional Support Team

Patti and her team of counselors, social workers, and other specialists have been more important than ever this year as we continue to navigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not surprisingly, homelessness takes a toll on a family’s mental health. As Family Promise of Forsyth works to help families transition to more stable housing, they also want to care for their mental health needs.
Eagle Ranch: Mark and Tifaney
Mark and Tifaney are house parents at Eagle Ranch, a residential program designed to help children in crisis. Children living at the ranch have a range of emotional and relational issues they work through with counselors and supportive mentors, all with the end goal of creating healthy long-term relationships with their families.
Mentor Me of North Georgia
Mentor Me believes in the power of mentorship to transform students. Thanks to your generosity, they were able to launch one of their “Kick It Up” clubs at Little Mill Middle School.

Many families at Otwell Middle School struggle with language barriers. While the students speak English, many of their parents do not. With last year’s donations, you provided for the addition of a part-time bilingual parent liaison.

Each year during the Be Rich campaign, we look for ways to help local schools thrive. Thanks to your generosity during 2020’s campaign, we were able to contribute to several emergency funds for school social workers in Forsyth County and Dawson County.
