Stories
You are making an impact!
Every year since 2007, we've asked people to be a part of Be Rich and live out the words of 1 Timothy 6:18. Here are stories of generosity and its impact.
OR
Family Promise of Forsyth
Not surprisingly, homelessness takes a toll on a family’s mental health. As Family Promise of Forsyth works to help families transition to more stable housing, they also want to care for their mental health needs.
Eagle Ranch: Mark and Tifaney
Mark and Tifaney are house parents at Eagle Ranch, a residential program designed to help children in crisis. Children living at the ranch have a range of emotional and relational issues they work through with counselors and supportive mentors, all with the end goal of creating healthy long-term relationships with their families.
Mentor Me of North Georgia
Mentor Me believes in the power of mentorship to transform students. Thanks to your generosity, they were able to launch one of their “Kick It Up” clubs at Little Mill Middle School.
BCM Georgia: Emergency Assistance Coordinator
Two years ago, we asked Buckhead Christian Ministry (BCM) to tell us what would make a difference for them in 2020. Without knowing all that would change in the next few months, they told us they wanted to hire an Emergency Assistance Coordinator so they could serve even more of our neighbors.
North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC)
As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in 2020, many of our friends and neighbors experienced unexpected losses of income and uncertain futures. In times like these, we’re especially grateful for nonprofit partners like North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC).
The Place of Forsyth
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold, so many of our friends and neighbors are experiencing unexpected losses of income and uncertain economic futures. Thankfully, they have The Place of Forsyth to turn to.
Our House: Caring for Families During a Pandemic
It’s safe to say that during 2020 we’ve all faced unexpected challenges: canceled plans, job difficulties, or homeschooling. We have all faced the unexpected. Our nonprofit partner, Our House, is not immune to the unexpected challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused.
Otwell Middle School
Many families at Otwell Middle School struggle with language barriers. While the students speak English, many of their parents do not. With last year’s donations, you provided for the addition of a part-time bilingual parent liaison.
Forsyth and Dawson County Social Workers
Each year during the Be Rich campaign, we look for ways to help local schools thrive. Thanks to your generosity during 2020’s campaign, we were able to contribute to several emergency funds for school social workers in Forsyth County and Dawson County.
