North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC)

As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in 2020, many of our friends and neighbors experienced unexpected losses of income and uncertain futures.

In times like these, we’re especially grateful for nonprofit partners like North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC). NFCC has been around since the 1980s working to prevent homelessness and hunger in our area through emergency assistance and enrichment programs.

In the months after the impact of COVID-19 began, they saw a 321 percent increase in requests for assistance—30 percent from families that had never sought assistance before.

In March alone, NFCC increased by 145 percent the amount of financial assistance provided.

Their staff of 12 took on the work of more than 200 weekly volunteers to keep their food pantry open, move their GED and ESL classes online, and ensure that the most vulnerable families in our community were not left to weather the storm alone.

NFCC is truly incredible. And so are you.

Thanks to your generosity through the 2020 Be Rich campaign, we were able to give a significant contribution toward NFCC’s operating expenses this year. Those funds went toward paying their hardworking staff, running programs, and setting themselves up to respond when our community needed it most.

None of us could’ve predicted how COVID-19 would change our community. Thanks to your generosity, NFCC has been able to offer food, support, and hope in a season when so many needed them.
