Whispering Hope: Down Payment for Safe Housing

Every pregnant woman deserves to feel safe.

Sadly, for many in our community, that’s not the case. The challenges of homelessness, joblessness, or an unsafe home life are big enough, and pregnancy can make them that much more daunting.

That’s where Beth and her team come in.

Beth is the executive director of Whispering Hope, a nonprofit organization supporting some of our community’s most vulnerable pregnant women.

Whispering Hope has been serving pregnant women in crisis for over 25 years in our community. They’re about to take a huge step in expanding that support—thanks in part to your generosity through the Be Rich campaign.

“A lot of times we hear ‘I don’t have anybody else,’” Beth said about the clients they serve. “We’re grateful we’re able to help and serve these women. We hope to change lives.”

Through their new maternity home called Living Hope, Beth and her team can offer a safe, loving environment for pregnant women in North Georgia who have nowhere else to turn. Caring houseparents, staff, and mentors will work with women before and after delivery to prepare for parenthood, work toward financial stability, and accomplish their educational and career goals.

Through your donation in 2021’s Be Rich campaign, we were able to fund the downpayment that will make Living Hope a reality and offer safety, support, and hope to women all across our community.
