The Place of Forsyth: The Market

Meet Jacob.

Jacob and his team love offering their clients healthy options from their garden, but having enough can be difficult. So they dreamed about what it would take to have enough fresh produce for everyone.

They knew their answer was an additional garden.

Thanks to a local family, The Place was gifted a one-acre garden to sustain The Market, which is pretty incredible. But, as you can imagine, maintaining a garden of that size is a lot of work.

Thanks to your $39.95 donation through 2018’s Be Rich campaign, The Place of Forsyth received the funds needed to hire Linda. Linda helps run this new garden—she meets with volunteer garden managers Amanda and Matthew to plan, lay out, and optimize the garden. She also helps coordinate volunteers who maintain and harvest all the crops.

Thanks to your generosity, Jacob, Linda, and The Place have been able to make the most of this new garden. And the best part? All of this means more healthy food for more families to enjoy.
