The Drake House: Housing, Training, and Operations

Hard-working families often face unexpected challenges. Even when they work hard to give their families the best, many families struggle with their career and financial stability. Some eventually find themselves without a place to call home. The Drake House supports single mothers and their children experiencing homelessness in North Fulton County by empowering them to achieve both economic independence and long-term stability. By keeping mothers and children united under one roof as they work toward healing and stability, The Drake House is able to come directly alongside families and provide the support necessary to each unique situation.

Through last year’s Be Rich, you supported The Drake House through multiple avenues including housing, training, and operations. Your generosity fully funded and furnished an apartment that served one family this past year and will continue to provide a space for more families. A mother and son recently called this apartment home, and with the support of The Drake House, this mother pursued certifications, found employment, and achieved enough stability to move out within three months. Your generosity also allowed The Drake House to increase the amount and quality of services provided to their clients. They were able to enhance staff training for better psychological and financial client support. Your generosity even covered the administrative office rent. This shift in resource allocation means The Drake House can maintain high living standards for their residents, helping to restore their self-worth and ensure their safety.

“I can’t even put into words what a blessing [this partnership with North Point] is,” said Executive Director Nesha Mason. “When you guys say you want to walk alongside your partners, you mean it. We are so grateful.”

Thank you for partnering with The Drake House to serve families in North Fulton as they create a safe and stable space for families to achieve financial independence.
