The Place: Social Worker
Meet Kyendal.
She’s a licensed social worker new to The Place, where she helps serve individuals and families in need in our community.
The Place’s programs are as diverse as the people they serve—programs like youth outreach, senior services, job programs, housing and food insecurity programs, and more.
“No day is the same at The Place,” said Kyendal. “I may be working on financial assistance requests, counseling residents at The Cottage, providing additional support to the youth programs at East Forsyth and Forsyth Central high schools, or meeting with house parents…”
The list goes on. Kyendal stays busy investing in clients and truly making a difference.
Every year, we ask nonprofits: What would make a big difference for you, and what would help you make a big difference? Funding staff positions is one of the most straightforward ways that we help our partners increase their impact and the number of clients they can serve.
Last year, through the Be Rich Campaign, you funded a one-year salary for The Place to hire a social worker, and they were lucky enough to find Kyendal. Having her on their team enabled them to bring on student interns from colleges around the country, which adds to their capacity to serve individuals and families in our community.
Kyendal is one of hundreds of social workers, case managers, teachers, and team members who were able to make a difference at countless nonprofits thanks to your generosity through the Be Rich campaign. Thank you!
