Table on Delk: Supper Club

Table on Delk walks alongside women and children caught in sexual exploitation along the Delk Road corridor—meeting tangible needs, sitting in conversations, and for those ready to take the next step, standing beside them as they rebuild.

It's holy work. It's also work that can feel, from the outside, hard to get close to.

And that’s the biggest hurdle to founder Tina’s greatest need: volunteers.

“When people hear ‘sexual exploitation,’ they tend to picture something dark, complicated, maybe even dangerous—a world they wouldn't know how to step into, let alone help with. So even people who genuinely want to help often stay at arm's length.”

Tina has learned that the fastest way to break down that fear is simply to get people on-site. Every year, Table on Delk hosts an awareness dinner for exactly that reason. It’s a chance to meet the ministry face-to-face, ask questions, and realize the work isn't scary. The work is simply ordinary hospitality offered to women and kids who rarely experience it.

Last fall, Table on Delk partnered with Be Rich to bring that same idea to East Cobb Church’s own Supper Club. Instead of a formal dinner, it was good chili, good company, and a low-stakes reason for people to see everything firsthand.

Tina's hope going in was modest: awareness. What she walked away with was more.

Several attendees have become regular volunteers. One group came back to decorate The 320 for Christmas. Some show up on-site every week. Others pray, bake brownies, pack sack lunches, or make placemats.

Tina is quick to say all of it matters. Volunteering doesn’t look just one way—every act of care, however small it seems, is changing how these women and children see the church. More importantly, it’s softening their hearts to the Father who loves them.

Thank you for making room at the table.
