No Longer Bound: More Than Sobriety
For the men who come through No Longer Bound, addiction is never the whole story. Chief Development Officer Becki Cedrone puts it this way: "Our goal is not sobriety. Our goal is lasting relationships with God, self, and others. Through those relationships, you find sobriety."
No Longer Bound is committed to restoring the whole man, not just treating an addiction, and vocational training plays a critical role in that restoration. While they offer job training in various industries like landscaping, marketing, and culinary arts, one of their most popular tracks is their auto shop.
Through their training program, men learn hands-on skills that can translate directly into jobs after they leave. Many go on to work in garages or dealerships, and 100% of graduates from No Longer Bound’s program leave with a job lined up.
But the shop does something else too. Beyond typical maintenance, residents repair donated vehicles and sell them—netting roughly $600,000 a year that funds the organization's work. The shop isn't just where men are restored; as a large revenue stream, it helps fund the transformational work they do
Thanks to your generosity through Be Rich, we provided a matching gift that expanded their garage to add a fourth bay, an extra lift, and a new exterior workspace for detailing. This expansion means more men can train in the program, more vehicles can be processed and sold, and residents learn a new skill in detailing that broadens what graduates carry into the job market.
According to Becki, the impact of this kind of generosity is impossible to overstate: "We could not do what we do every day on our campus without the generous donors at North Point and Be Rich. They're instrumental in transforming lives beyond sobriety, and everything this campaign has done for us has allowed men and their families to be restored."
No Longer Bound is repairing and restoring much more than engines through this program. Thank you for making it possible for even more men to build the skills and the stability they need to transform their lives from the inside out.
