Forsyth County Schools
Penguin Project Support - 2025
The FoCAL Center’s 2026 Penguin Project production of Aladdin Jr. offers special-needs students the opportunity to perform lead and supporting roles alongside a typical peer. These pairs rehearse for several months before presenting four shows for their parents, peers, and the broader community. This gift provides partial funding for production costs, including licensing, sets, costumes, hair, and makeup.
Reach Scholarship - 2025
REACH Georgia is a needs-based mentoring and scholarship program providing promising students the support to graduate from high school and achieve postsecondary success. This gift provides a college scholarship through the Forsyth County Schools REACH program. Many REACH recipients go on to become the first in their families to go to college.
HERoes Event - 2025
Many students lack exposure to successful female role models in fields like business, athletics, and leadership. Forsyth County Schools’ HERoes Event offers keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and interactive opportunities that showcase real-world career paths during Women’s History Month. This gift provides funding for the full event experience, including speaker engagement and program delivery.
REACH Program Support - 2025
REACH scholars have limited access to enrichment experiences that build confidence, connection, and motivation. Participation in REACH Day at the University of North Georgia, promotional items, and mentor appreciation events strengthen scholar engagement and mentor relationships. This gift funds enrichment opportunities and mentor support, enhancing the overall impact of the REACH program.
