Forsyth County Schools

REACH Scholarships - 2022

This gift provides college scholarships to two students through the Forsyth County Schools REACH program. Each scholarship is awarded to a student identified as having high academic potential and limited financial means. Many REACH recipients go on to become the first in their families to go to college.

Summer Musical Scholarships - 2022

The FoCAL Center is offering a special opportunity for high school students to participate in a summer musical production. In order to participate, each student must pay a production fee for costuming, royalties, props, and other costs associated with a large stage production. This gift provides scholarships to students who are unable to pay this fee to ensure that all students are able to participate in this unique experience—regardless of their economic status.

Special-Needs Play Support - 2022

The FoCAL Center's 2023 Penguin Project production of Seussical Jr. is an opportunity for special-needs students to perform in lead and supporting roles in a show alongside a typical peer. The pairs rehearse for several months and then perform four shows in January for their parents, peers, and the community at-large. This funding supports production costs for the show, which include production royalties, set costs, costumes, marketing/advertising, and staffing salary assistance (director, musical director, and choreographer).
