Forever Fed
Electric Pallet Jack and Cooler Ramps Upgrades - 2024
Forever Fed receives 10,000 to 20,000 pounds of food each week. They currently use a manual pallet jack to transport the pallets of food, which is unable to easily navigate ramps and makes it challenging to move the pallets into the organization's outdoor cooled storage spaces. This gift funds the purchase of a new electric pallet jack and upgrades to the cooler ramps to enhance the productivity of the organization.
New Cooling Unit for Outdoor Freezer - 2024
The original cooling mechanisms for Forever Fed's previously owned outdoor shipping container freezers are costly and difficult to maintain. A catastrophic failure last year in one of their containers caused the loss of thousands of pounds of frozen product and prompted them to retrofit the container with a new commercial cooling unit. This funding covers the cost for a preemptive retrofit of their second outdoor shipping container freezer to prevent possible loss of up to 1,200 square feet of freezer space.
Roll-Up Doors - 2024
The 20-year-old exterior double doors to Forever Fed's dry storage space are rusting and frequently obstructed by the pallets of food entering and exiting the space. This funding purchases and installs a new roll-up door for the space that opens completely out of the way allowing stock to be moved in and out of the space with greater ease.
