Emergency Assistance Fun - 2022

As they face a rise in requests for financial assistance from their program participants, FCS desires to do what they can to help keep their neighbors in their homes and employed at the community market or coffee shop. This gift allows them to meet emergency needs for those in their programs, their employees, and neighbors.

Christmas Store Support - 2022

The Pride for Parents Christmas Store is designed to provide more than 600 South Atlanta families with the opportunity to shop for their children at greatly reduced prices, while also providing jobs for those in the neighborhood. This gift helps FCS supplement the in-kind toy donations they receive for the store as well as pay a small stipend to their volunteers who help set up and operate the store.

Neighborhood Engagement - 2022

A lack of affordable housing is a growing problem in Atlanta and particularly in the South Atlanta community that FCS serves. On June 21, 2022, FCS broke ground on Haven, the largest development in Historic South Atlanta. Haven offers 84 multifamily housing units, 71 of which are offered to families at 50–60 percent of the area median income and 13 units offered at market rate rent. This gift funds welcome baskets allowing FCS to introduce themselves to each new resident at Haven.
