Krishnanagar Border Station - 2024
Each year, 25,000 young girls and women in Nepal are victims of human trafficking. The first, and sometimes only, point of interception for many of these victims is at the border between Nepal and India. This gift allows Our Daughters International to monitor, intercept, counsel, and rescue human trafficking victims at the Krishnanagar Border Station. Specifically, they are used to support the Border Station Facilitator staff and operations of the station as well as the operations of the on-site Transit Home that provides short-term emergency shelter for the rescued victims.
Social Leadership Development Training - 2024
Social Leadership Development Training is a six-month leadership development program that helps daughters develop leadership skills such as public speaking, professionalism, and societal understanding. These daughters will one day use these skills to engage public officials and others with personal testimonies about human trafficking in Nepal. Former graduates have moved into various leadership roles in their communities and within the teams in Nepal. This gift allows Our Daughters International to further develop the Social Leadership Development Training Program from which 70 girls will graduate this year.
