The idea has been there all along:
“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”
Inspired by this, a campaign—a movement—was born. Since 2007, we have partnered with nonprofits doing good in communities here and around the world.
What God has done with Be Rich is more than we could ever measure or imagine. What we do know is this: because of your generosity through Be Rich, nonprofit organizations have been strengthened, communities impacted, and lives changed through both the generosity offered and the generosity received. And through it all, God’s name has been glorified.
Jesus put it this way in his Sermon on the Mount: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
When you participate in Be Rich, you’re stepping into something bigger than a campaign—you’re participating in the kingdom of God. You’re living out what Jesus called us to do—in our own words, to Give Serve Love. Your generosity becomes a tangible expression of God’s love. Through every act of giving, every hour served, and every resource shared, you’re pointing people to our Father in heaven. You’re shining a light that points people to him—not just through words, but through action. And that kind of love leaves a lasting impact, one that echoes far beyond what we can see.

WHY BE RICH?
Most people want to make a difference but don’t know how. Be Rich makes it simple.
Rather than pioneering our own efforts, our church comes alongside nonprofits that are already doing great work in areas such as housing and homelessness, kids and students, food insecurity, addiction recovery, mental health, health and medical care, trafficking, education and job training, and more. And we have vetted the leadership, financial health, and service histories of each one.

Since 2007, every penny of the $100,576,184 donated to Be Rich has gone directly to nonprofit partners, fueling life-changing work in communities near and far. That’s over $100 million invested in making the world a better place—because of your generosity!
Everyone
played a part!
Whether it was preschoolers packing snacks, high schoolers collecting peanut butter, or college students digging into service projects, everyone played a part in this wave of generosity. Here’s just a glimpse of the many ways attendees of all ages participated in Be Rich:
Waumba Land and UpStreet collected over 30,000 snacks for local schools.
Transit sponsored 251 backpacks for students, packed hygiene kits, and even decorated 356 lunch bags.
The Living Room and Young Adults led landscaping projects, wrote over 70 notes of encouragement, and participated in hands-on service days.
InsideOut donated more than 4,000 food and hygiene items to local schools and nonprofits.
