LEAP/NFCC Staff Position - 2024

LEAP is a short-term behavioral support program for disruptive students that teaches and reinforces replacement behaviors. This enables students to return to their home school as soon as possible and be successful. The LEAP/NFCC Staff Therapist was a new position added in 2024 with previous Be Rich funding. This therapist spends half their time at Vickery Mill and the other half at North Fulton Community Charities supporting GED students. This gift funds the salary and benefits for this unique position.

Clinical Staff Training - 2024

With suicide on the rise for kids ages 15 to 20, Summit wants to ensure that their staff is prepared to quickly and accurately assess their clients. This gift allows Summit to provide specialized AMSR (Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk) training to their staff.

Specialized Staff Trainings - 2024

The Summit strengthens mental health awareness by equipping its clinical team with specialized training, then offering free education on these topics in schools, churches, and community groups. This gift covers the cost of two trainings—Ethical Considerations for Emergency Mental Healthcare and QPR Train-the-Trainer—ensuring that therapists are prepared to meet evolving community needs and expand access to high-quality mental health education.

Client Subsidies - 2024

In recent years there has been a sharp increase in the need for mental health services. Summit Counseling continues to improve access to care for those who need mental health counseling. This gift funds ten fully subsidized counseling sessions for clients who require financial assistance to access the support they need.
