Routes to Re-Entry Program Support - 2024

The Furniture Bank’s employment program, Routes to Re-Entry, provides on-the-job training and access to necessary certifications to returning citizens (people who have been to jail or prison) in order for them to obtain full-time employment and become self-sufficient. Participants work in the Furniture Bank’s warehouse and on their trucks for an eight-week period. After successfully completing on-the-job training, they attend school to obtain either their forklift or CDL-A license. This gift helps fund eight program participants.

Capital Campaign Assistance - 2024

The Furniture Bank is in the beginning stages of a Capital Campaign to raise funds to purchase a larger warehouse. This move will increase their capacity to serve by 52 percent, which translates to serving an additional 893 households each year. This gift toward their capital campaign helps cover any immediate costs incurred, such as new warehouse inspections, as they search for a larger space.
