Vertical White Boards, Part One - 2024
Research shows that vertical whiteboards have a positive impact on learning. Students are able to make their learning visible, view and discuss other student's strategies, and develop critical collaborative communication skills. This gift partially funds the purchase of 11 whiteboards and associated supplies for each of their classrooms.

Emergency Assistance for Students and Families - 2024
When their basic needs are not met, students have a difficult time learning. This gift provides funds for Cumming Elementary School to help their students in need with food, clothing, medical and mental health services, and housing support.
Academic Parent Teacher Event Support - 2024
Cumming Elementary School hosts three academic nights per year as well as quarterly parent learning sessions. This allows parents to go over student data from the school year and receive advice to promote academic achievement. Providing meals for the families serves as an incentive and greatly increases event attendance. Children whose parents come to these events typically have a significant increase in their academic performance. This gift funds the cost of providing meals to families during the academic parent events throughout the year.
Teacher Appreciation Support - 2024
Teachers and volunteers at Cumming Elementary work diligently each day to support educational and emotional learning for their students. This gift provides gifts of appreciation such as staff luncheons and team building activities as well as on-site car washes. Cumming Elementary hopes that by showing appreciation, they will be able to retain high quality staff to continue to provide the best instruction for students.
Positive Behavior Intervention Support - 2024
Positive Behavior Interventions Systems (PBIS) is a program schools use to reinforce good behavior and reduce negative behavior. This type of program requires various resources, and this gift helps to keep the school store at Cumming Elementary stocked with school supplies and prizes that motivate students to behave respectfully and responsibly.
1:1 Technology Learning Support - 2024
Having a one-to-one ratio of Chromebooks to students allows teachers to fully implement instructional programs and allows students to use technology to create projects that integrate all subject areas. This gift covers the cost of 20 additional Chromebooks to allow Cumming Elementary to grow closer to their one-to-one goal.
Garden Supplies and Maintenance - 2024
Cumming Elementary has four on-site gardens that students fully participate in helping to maintain. The gardens are used to instruct students in science related lessons provided by Whole Foods Markets. This gift provides for materials to help them maintain the garden as well as garden projects for students.
