Emergency Assistance for Students and Families - 2022
Many families continue to face financial difficulties due to the effects of COVID and the economy. This funding allows Chestatee Elementary School to assist in meeting the needs of students and their families with food, clothing, medical and mental health services, and housing support.
Positive Behavior Intervention Support - 2022
Positive Behavior Interventions Systems is a program schools use to reinforce good behavior and reduce negative behavior. This type of program requires various resources, and this gift keeps their school store stocked with school supplies and prizes that motivate students to behave respectfully and responsibly.
Mindfulness Training Support - 2022
Stress and anxiety are at an all-time high for students and teachers. The teachers at Chestatee Elementary School have the unique opportunity to attend a three-day workshop on how to reduce stress and create mindfulness for both the students and teachers. This gift absorbs the substitute teacher fees, allowing 15 teachers to attend the workshop.
Mentor Me Support - 2022
The Mentoring After School (MAS) program at Mentor Me supports students needing extra tutoring and mentoring support with the educational and mentoring resources they need. This gift funds the cost of one teacher to attend MAS and support tutoring after school for ESOL children to improve their reading and language skills.
Academic Parent Teacher Teams (APTT) Event Support - 2022
APTT is a partnership promoted between parents and teachers to go over student data and receive advice to promote academic achievement. Parents and teachers meet to learn about academic goals and to practice skills. Parents walk away with the tools necessary to continue to practice at home with their students. This gift covers the cost of the supplies, a translator, and childcare for one in-person event and two virtual events.
One-to-One Technology Learning Support - 2022
During the pandemic, Chestatee Elementary School was able to provide a one-to-one ratio of Chromebooks to students. As the school grows, the need for more Chromebooks is growing also. This gift provides new Chromebooks for 30 students.
