Hope Partners Costa Rica
Education and Food Support for 190 Students - 2024
Every child at the Hope Center receives a full nutritional meal each day to combat malnutrition and hunger as well as a safe place to be educated in STEAM classes taught in English. In 2025, 190 children from the Hope Center will not yet have a sponsor. This gift covers the cost of $30/month for each of these children to support curriculum and food costs.
University Student Scholarships - 2024
When a child from the Hope Center graduates from a university, they are essentially guaranteed a professional job that helps break the cycle of poverty for generations to come. In 2025, Hope Partners predicts that between 15 and 18 of their Hope Center students will attend local universities. These students incur substantial costs including bus transportation, supplies, computers, and tutoring. While the organization currently has sponsors for five of these students, this gift helps cover these extra costs for the remaining 13 students.
Spiritual Formation and Development Program Costs - 2024
Beginning in the 1st grade, each child at the Hope Center is placed in a small group with a volunteer small group leader. They meet weekly in their groups to connect about life and to learn principles and values. Mothers of these children also participate in monthly Bible studies and workshops on nutrition, hygiene, and financial management. This gift funds the program costs for 190 not-yet-sponsored children and families, two youth camps, and a staff and key volunteer retreat.
Elevator for New Building - 2024
The Hope Center currently has a half a dozen children with long-term disabilities as well as other children with short-term disabilities such as a broken foot or other leg injuries. These children would benefit from an elevator at the new Hope Center. This gift purchases and installs a small elevator for these children and allows them to take full advantage of everything the Hope Center has to offer.
