HOI

Ranch Irrigation System Expansion, Part One - 2022

Through HOI’s Agriculture Program, the Agalta Valley Ranch is able to grow corn year-round. Their current irrigation system is almost sufficient for their cattle-feeding needs, but is not large enough to allow them to grow anything else on their irrigated acreage. This gift helps expand their irrigation system to allow them to grow high-value crops, the sales of which will eventually help to sustain HOI’s entire mission—education, healthcare, community development, spiritual development—in Honduras. The funds also partially provide for a technical training center for 100 farming families in the community where HOI can hold agricultural technology demonstrations and offer best practices.
